AquaFuel(R)

Question:

We are writing to introduce you to the unique qualities of AquaFuel. As you may be surprised to find out, AquaFuel is cheaper, safer and cleaner than acetylene, gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, natural gas, jet fuel and hydrogen. In fact, AquaFuel is the only known fuel that gives off oxygen when burned. With AquaFuel you can power your plants and, as a free by-product, treat waste water. If you imagine all the possible uses for AquaFuel, you may easily realize the unlimited economic potential of AquaFuel.  The more you smell polluted air, the more you see a polluting car, bus or truck on the road, and the more you pay large bills for water and electricity, the more likely it is that you will become eager to have AquaFuel. My experience has been that those who see our video, find themselves wanting to learn more about AquaFuel sooner or later. We call this phenomenon "AquaFever" — like gold fever, but you want to get involved with AquaFuel. Please call me at (727) 530-0886 for more information. Sincerely, John E. Lux President AquaLux Corporation http://www.aqualux.net/coprofile.htm Before you buy.

I went to this web site expecting to see lots of hype and little in the way of information and science and was not surprised.  A little snippet from their website: "AquaFuel is not burning carbon under water. The graphite is almost pure carbon and carbon does not burn. Further, nothing burns under water — there is no air under water." If they knew anything at all about basic chemistry they would not make this statement.   Perhaps they never saw a magnesium fire under water.  wuite spectacular. Thorndike Barnhart Dictionary says: burn … 9 (in chemistry) undergo combustion; oxidize rapidly. So Bob, as I am no chemist, I was wondering if you could tell me what the hell is "a magnesium fire under water" and how does that work? And has this got any relation at all to whether or not AquaFuel is real? I have also seen the AquaLux site and found it to be easy to understand with pictures for some sort of proof. Anyone else interested should also check out http://www.overunity.de/afuel/ and http://jnaudin.free.fr/html/aquagen.htm Here’s hoping, Peter Paice

Its another free energy device "AquaFuel makes more electricity than it takes to make AquaFuel. Air is not a requirement for burning, only oxygen.  magnesium burns very vigorously under water.  it actually pulls the oxygen right out of the water molecule. try it some time.  get a little strip of magnesium and light it.  then throw it in a puddle of water and watch it go. Peter Paice: AQUALUX seems to be another dream in the sky. Takes electricity to run it but they say  it produces more electricity than the energy used, so by definition doesn’t need any energy except when started and after that no more electricity is needed. Hard to believe, but time will say if it is another PIE IN THE SKY H.G.

HG I can’t really comment much on the "over unity" aspect not having done any experiments. It does seem to defy that old conservation thingy. I was more interested in its ease of manufacture and storage and especially the cleanliness of burn. I think it would be a far better for the planet if the air was not polluted by coal and petrol/diesel fumes. AquaFuel (if it does as the promos suggest) can be substituted for these No.1 polluters quickly and easily. I see it more as a competitor to natural gas, which is gaining more acceptance, although it too is a fossil fuel. Worth a chance. And as you say, time will tell. Having said that, can anyone tell me how carbon/graphite rods are made? Are they a renewable resource? Peter Paice
